Sophisticated match-hole technology

The Alto NG is manufactured by Direct Fly, a renowned Czech company specialised in the design and development of microlight aircraft with over 200 NGs operated around the globe. Key to the Alto NG’s success is Direct Fly’s pioneering aluminium-sheet, match-hole manufacturing technology, which translates into ultra-repeatable aluminium structures throughout the aircraft.

Cockpit with Panoramic Screen

The spacious, 110 cm wide cockpit provides plenty of room for its occupants and make it an ideal place for relaxed instruction and touring alike. Climbing in could not be easier, with the entire cockpit roof sliding forward on integrated rails and a pair of easy access footsteps provided on either side to help you onto the wing. Once inside, you’ll appreciate the ergonomic seats, controls that fall instantly to hand, and the integrated air vents to keep you comfortable no matter the temperature outside. And the unobstructed view through the one-piece bubble canopy is simply outstanding.

Wings & Handling

The safe and predictable handling of the Alto NG, praised by flight schools worldwide, owes much to the computer-generated wing design, the rectangular wing plan and generously rounded leading edge providing a smooth ride in turbulent conditions and highly-predictable stall characteristics. The aircraft is equipped with slotted flaps that prevent airflow separation from the upper wing surface at high flap angles, significantly increasing lift at slower speeds while minimising drag to delay stall and enable safer low-speed flight. The wings also feature Frise ailerons, which reduce stick forces and adverse yaw, making coordinated turns easier with less rudder input. Each wing houses a 46L fuel tank, combining for a total of 92 litres and offering an impressive 780+ mile range.

Fuselage

The rear fuselage features a rectangular cross section seamlessly blended with a smoothly curved upper surface. A network of computer-designed internal diagonal webs reinforces the entire structure. The wings are securely fastened to the fuselage, fusing each of the wing beams to the aircraft’s central beam with exceptionally strong flanged bolts.

Tail surfaces

The traditionally arranged horizontal and vertical tail surfaces are constructed as a riveted structure with composite tips.

Beringer brakes

The Alto NG is equipped with the renowned Beringer brake system on every wheel. Alongside an integrated parking brake, both are controlled by a combined lever located on the center panel – conveniently accessible to both pilot and passenger, and ensuring essential safety for flight school operations.

Landing gear

The traditional tricycle design features steerable front landing gear. The main wheels are attached to the fuselage with tough, flexible laminate legs, providing comfortable ground maneuvering.
